I must say that I thoroughly love this time of year! The change of seasons; holidays, music, food, goodies, family, friends! In fact, I often find myself reminiscing on fond memories of Thanksgiving & Christmas’ past with my family and greatly anticipating those new memories we will create this year. I can hardly wait ya’ll! What an exciting sentimental journey! But let me say this; this time of year is only a culminating response to what I see God doing in my life everyday! Of how extremely thankful I am for my wonderful family, parents, friends, church family, God’s blessings but most definitely of my personal relationship with my God; my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit; God’s presence who walks with me every day! Am I ever thankful for that ya’ll! I must say that I am extremely blessed friends as are you! So, thank you God!
In fact, 1 Chronicles 16:8-9, 11-12a NIV says the following: “Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts…Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done…”
Amen friends; so, let’s give thanks; I sure am!
Love ya – Doug

Doug, our family has many reasons to be thankful but the most recent…my older brother in Crystal River had a freak accident while cutting down a tree in the woods and he suffered a broken neck! He will be ok, and NO spinal chord injury, praise God, but a long recovery ahead. Our family is so thankful and my brother gives total credit to God for getting him out safely, as he had to walk to his truck then drive to help. He said he knows Jesus was alongside telling him he would be ok and guiding him th3e correct path out and to help. He was surrounded by comforting people the entire day as he was taken to Shands and given the best news…no permanent paralyzing damage. We have sat and talked about good times and this has also reunited him with his estranged daughter. God is SO good, and right now, our family is very thankful. All glory to God and what He has done, is doing and will continue to do through my brother’s accident.
